The legal side
Terms and Conditions
The terms that govern use of this website and the basis on which Renovate Home Space provides estimates, project work, finance introductions and warranty support.
These terms are written to be readable. Where a signed project agreement exists between you and Renovate Home Space, that agreement takes precedence over anything on this page in the event of a conflict.
Acceptance of these terms
By browsing this website, subscribing to our newsletter or sending us an enquiry, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. Nothing on this page limits any rights you have that cannot be excluded by law.
Use of this website
- The content here is provided for general information about our services.
- You agree not to misuse the site, attempt to gain unauthorised access, or scrape content for competing commercial use.
- Service descriptions, images and articles are illustrative. Materials, finishes and products are confirmed in your written project specification.
Estimates, quotations and the free design visit
- Our initial design visit and written estimate are provided free of charge and place you under no obligation.
- Estimates are prepared from the information available at the time. Hidden conditions — such as concealed leaks, structural defects or non-compliant wiring — can only be priced once they are uncovered.
- Quotations are held open for the period stated on the quotation itself, and work is scheduled only once a written agreement is in place.
Projects, variations and scheduling
- Every change to scope, materials or specification is documented as a written variation with its cost and schedule impact, agreed before the work proceeds.
- Dates are given in good faith. Weather, supplier availability, permit timelines and access restrictions can affect the programme, and we will inform you as soon as a change is known.
- Client-requested pauses, or delays caused by access restrictions, may extend the programme and can affect pricing.
Payments
- Payments are billed in stages, tied to milestones set out in your agreement rather than to elapsed time.
- Invoices are payable within the period stated on the invoice.
- Materials ordered specifically for your project may require a deposit and, where already purchased, may be non-refundable.
Home loan and finance guidance
We can explain renovation costs and introduce you to home improvement lenders. We are not a lender, broker or financial adviser, and we do not provide financial advice. Any lending decision, interest rate, term or fee is determined solely by the lender and governed by the lender’s own terms and privacy policy. You are responsible for satisfying yourself that any finance arrangement suits your circumstances.
Warranty
- We provide a written workmanship warranty on completed work, with the duration stated in your project agreement.
- Manufacturer warranties on products and materials are passed to you, along with documentation, at handover.
- The warranty does not cover damage caused by accident, misuse, neglect, third-party alterations, movement or settlement beyond our control, or normal wear and tear.
- Warranty service requires reasonable access to the affected area and may be affected where items have been covered, tiled over or altered after handover.
Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate information about the property, its condition and any known defects.
- Ensure we have safe access, and disclose any hazardous materials known or suspected on site.
- Obtain any consent required from landlords, co-owners, insurers or a homeowners association.
- Remove or protect valuables, artwork and fragile items before work begins.
- Keep children and pets away from active work areas.
Safety, insurance and compliance
Our trades are licensed and insured where their work requires it, and we comply with applicable building, electrical, fire and safety requirements. Where permits or inspections are needed, we will tell you and coordinate them. Safety certifications and test records are supplied at handover and retained for warranty purposes.
Intellectual property
Text, images, designs, drawings, layout and branding on this website belong to Renovate Home Space or are used with permission. You may not reproduce, republish or use them for commercial purposes without written consent. Design concepts we prepare for you remain our intellectual property until paid for, after which they may be used for the project described in your agreement.
Third-party links and embedded content
Our site may link to or embed third-party services, such as mapping providers, lenders or supplier pages. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability arising from use of this website or from general information we publish is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific service in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profit, rent or opportunity. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Newsletter and communications
Newsletter subscriptions are governed by our Privacy Policy. You may unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe page, and project-related correspondence will continue where an active agreement exists.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable in the State of Colorado, United States, and disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts serving that area, unless local consumer law provides you with stronger protections.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes in our services or the law. The version on this page is the current one, and continued use of the website after an update means you accept the revised terms.
